With respect to metal recycling, SPF has been green for over 100 years. We have continuously recycled all metal scrap since our inception in 1921. More recently, our expanded facility was upgraded to include partial solar power, and a storm water retention pond was also added on-site to prevent storm runoff from reaching area waterways. We also routinely work with LEED-certified architects and engineers with the production of their eco-friendly project components.
As a family-owned business with 100+ years of service, we strive to offer excellent customer service no matter the scale or scope of your project. While our availability fluctuates, we invite you to send in a project request to see if working with SPF is within your budget and time constraints Some of the memorable “small projects” we’ve completed include custom BBQ/smokers and trailers, architectural metalwork (gates, hardware, railings), and even “inventions” where we’ve helped create a prototype for someone’s unique idea. Let us know what you need and we’ll let you know how we can help.
Predictive maintenance uses data analysis and average metal fatigue rates to predict when equipment failure is likely to occur, allowing for maintenance to be performed before issues arise. Our team can help your business by offering repair/replacement solutions to critical componentry.
Lean manufacturing is a systematic approach aimed at minimizing waste while maximizing productivity and efficiency. SPF partners with businesses to ensure they are getting the most bang for their buck with respect to their metalworking needs.
