The challenge

Quikrete, the largest manufacturer of packaged concrete and cement mixes in North America, came to Steel Plate Fabricators with a critical request. One of their mixing drums was damaged beyond repair and they were in need of a replacement in order to get their production facility back up and running. Steel Plate Fabricators was able to meet their urgent deadline with ease, and was also able to conveniently facilitate the transport of the unit to their Georgia-based plant.

Project Details

This turnkey project included the entire host of service offerings, including cutting, forming, welding, finishing, and assembly. An exact replica was needed in order to be compatible with existing hardware, and also to maintain product consistency. With an accelerated production schedule, SPF was able to have Quikrete back up and running in record time.
